Open Access & Copyright

The journal's policies on open access, licensing, copyright, charges and preservation.

Open-access policy

All articles published in Smart Technologies and Computational Research are immediately and permanently available online without subscription or paywall. Anyone may read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts, consistent with the licence under which each article is published.

Licensing

Unless otherwise stated, articles are published under the CC BY 4.0 licence. The licence applicable to each article is stated on the article itself, and reuse must include proper attribution to the authors and the journal.

Copyright

Authors retain copyright in their work and grant Smart Technologies and Computational Research and its publisher, Sciendor, a licence of first publication. Authors may deposit the published version in institutional repositories, personal websites and preprint servers, with a citation and link to the version of record.

Article processing charges

Open-access publication is funded by a single Article Processing Charge, payable only after a manuscript has been accepted. No charge is made for submission or peer review, or for manuscripts that are rejected or withdrawn.

India authors

₹10,000

per accepted article, excl. taxes

Authors outside India

$100

per accepted article, excl. taxes

Taxes are additional and are charged as applicable in each country's jurisdiction. Full and partial waivers are available on request, and ability to pay has no bearing on editorial decisions. See Article Processing Charges for the full policy, what the charge covers, and how to request a waiver.

Archiving and preservation

Each published article is assigned a persistent, citable URL, and its metadata is made available through OAI-PMH for harvesting by libraries, aggregators and preservation services.
